Escondido First Church of the Nazarene

Following the Lord’s lead and stepping into Escondido First Church of the Nazarene 2 ½ years ago is a decision Rob and I wouldn’t trade for anything. It is a place where people of all ages and ethnicities are loved.

Learning that there are 92 senior adult living communities in the Escondido area and that 77% of our adult English congregation is 55 years of age and older, I knew I needed some help. Rev. Al Jones who is presently in our church volunteered to become our senior adult pastor.

God provides!

Being that our community is approximately 50% Hispanic, I am proud to be working alongside Pastor Joel knowing that he will be leading this strong Spanish speaking congregation to become a fully organized church. I’m proud of what God is doing in and through them and positive about the future.

God is strengthening His church!

The facility and the needs that surfaced after years of use were addressed.  We were able to see our blacktop resurfaced and classrooms upgraded, painted and carpeted.  Signage was put in and

the stucco was repaired and painted throughout the facility. That wasn’t all.  Last fall we were offered an opportunity to get all new LED lighting and fixtures throughout the facility worth over $20,000 of which our cost was only 10% of the bill.  Of course, we signed up and are now reaping the benefits of a lower electric bill and better lighting.

God answers prayers!

The upgrade of the facility in no way compares to the victory of seeing lives changed by new believers. On this journey of life with them, I have found myself changing as well. Thank you, Lord.

God still changes lives today!

With all the praises, we still have needs and prayer requests. However, I am encouraged to know that God is working and equipping the saints for what is to come.  I look forward to all Christ has in store for us as we reach people for the Kingdom of God!

God is leading His church!

And I’m proud to be a part of it.
